Service Description

I am Malik Muhammad Abdul Basit Khatana, you could also refer to me as Basit. I completed my legal studies from City, University of London in 2018. Having studied in a city as diverse as London, I am capable of empathizing with, and understanding people from various cultures. In my experience, sensitivity to the other person’s emotions is a vital tool for mediation. Currently, I am working at the Office of the Attorney General for Pakistan, in their International Disputes Unit. This unit deals with all international litigation and arbitrations that the State of Pakistan is involved in. During my time here, I have worked on numerous arbitrations under the auspices of LCIA, ICC, ICSID and PCA, to name a few. This experience has enriched me with a practical understanding of conflict resolution between commercial parties. Having completed the mediation course, I am now capable of applying my knowledge of commercial relationships to amicably and diligently mediate commercial disputes.
