Sonia Riaz Hussain

Service Description

Sonia Riaz Hussain was admitted as a member of the Punjab Bar Council, Pakistan in April, 2006 and currently holds a license as Advocate High Court. She is a lawyer, legal academic and a civil-commercial mediator by profession. She completed her LLM (International and Comparative Commercial Law) from SOAS during which she also participated in a research project on child soldiers with Child Soldiers International, UK. She also did a project on International Law with Deighton Pierce Glynn, UK as a researcher. She has also worked with Warid Telecom Pvt Ltd as the Senior Executive for Legal Affairs and at the Punjab Healthcare Commission as Legal Manager. Apart from that, she is also an accredited Civil-Commercial Mediator with ADR-ODR International. She has worked as a Legal Academic at University College Lahore for almost 10 years in various different capacities including her role as the Monitoring and Evaluation Expert for the American Bar Association, Rule of Law Initiative. She also participated in a two week study tour for Law Professors at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University in Phoenix, Arizona, and the McCain Institute for International Leadership in Washington, DC. Sonia is also an Assessment Specialist for OCR AS/A Level Law for Cambridge International.
