Sarah Tarar

Service Description

Sarah Tarar is the Co-founder and Director of the ADR Initiative. She is an Accredited Negotiator and Mediator, a lawyer and an academic. She has undertaken her training as an alternative dispute resolution professional from ADR ODR International. She has an LLM in Corporate and Commercial Law, PG Diploma in International Business Law and PG Certificate in Public International Law. In addition, she has a PG Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education. Sarah is a University of London Worldwide Recognised tutor and the Director of a prominent law school in Pakistan, University College Lahore, teaching for University of London (UoL) degrees. She has been a part of numerous teaching workshops conducted by UoL for their faculty worldwide. Furthermore, she has also conducted various training workshops on teaching and learning locally. She is closely in touch with the local Bar Council and has also worked with the American Bar Association for their Rule of Law Initiative project in UCL, Pakistan. In addition, she has also been a part of UCL's collaboration with Arizona State University Sandra Day O’Connor School of Law to promote Human Rights and refine legal education in Pakistan. Sarah has a deep interest in achieving peace and human rights. She was, therefore, a part of the team that went to UN office in Bangkok comprising of a delegation of her HR Clinic faculty and students to make sure they understand aspects of human rights in global context. Under her patronage, UCL has produced 6 volumes of Human Rights journals. Sarah believes training young minds to believe in achieving peace through alternative dispute resolution should be our goal in today's world.
