Service Description

Mehak Zaraq Bari is primarily an educationist, an academic and a human rights lawyer. She is currently the Associate Director of Pakistan College of Law, a leading law school in Pakistan, teaching University of London (UoL) degrees. With multiple degrees in multiple subjects (BSc Accounting and Finance (London), Diploma in Economics (London), LL.B (London), and LLM in Human Rights Law (QMUL)) her focus has always been on finding viable solutions through research and education. She is the Co-founder of ADR Initiative. Research shows, the Pakistani Legal System is failing, infringing upon the human rights of fair trial and deteriorating rule of law. Alternative methods to litigation are a necessity. Mehak has undertaken her training as an alternative dispute resolution professional from ADR ODR International and is an Accredited Negotiator. She believes in Continuous Professional Development. For several years she has worked as a financial and legal consultant for Informanagement, a Netherland and UK based company, designing professional and practical online trainings for their clients. She also designs workshops and courses for professional development for her students and local organizations. She has worked with the World Bank as a local Expert for their Women, Business and the Law (WBL) Project 2020 which focuses on women in business and their human rights. She has also contributed her expertise to Amnesty International’s Climate Change Campaign 2019 in Pakistan which focused on human rights and climate change. She is the lecturer for International Protection of Human Rights Law (University of London) and has several publications in Law Journals and local newspapers.
