About the Event
The ADR Initiative is proud to launch its Alliance Series, "Bridging the Distance in Dispute Resolution to Peace". Our webinars will include speakers from various distinguished organizations with expertise in the realm of ADR. We are honoured to host Mr. Rana Sajjad Ahmad, and Ms. Zoe Giannopoulou for our first webinar.
Rana Sajjad is a dual-qualified lawyer (licensed in New York and Pakistan) having over 15 years’ experience of practicing law in Pakistan and the U.S. He is one of only two practising lawyers in Pakistan who have attained fellowship of The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb).
Before joining the Lahore-based law firm of Rana Ijaz & Partners in September, 2008, Sajjad worked in the U.S. for some leading large law firms including Fulbright & Jaworski. He is also the only lawyer in Pakistan who is a member of the Approved Faculty List (AFL) of CIArb for domestic and international arbitration law, practice and procedure.

Zoe Giannopoulou is a practicing Lawyer in the field of corporate business and commercial law and holds a PhD on European and Economic Law. She is an Accredited Mediator in Civil and Commercial disputes and an Accredited Trainer for Mediators, by the Greek Ministry of Justice, a UK Civil and Commercial, Family and Workplace Accredited Mediator, an Accredited Mediator by the International Academy of Dispute Resolution (InADR USA) and a trained Negotiator (Harvard Law School's Master Class Negotiations Program). Zoe served as the deputy President of Mediator’s Accreditation Committee at the Ministry of Justice, a member of the Committee for the Promotion of Mediation at the Ministry of Justice and she is a founding member of the “European Institute for Conflict Resolution”.
